Fiddle Thread Augsburger Faden Chinon
This understated classic pattern became very popular in the second half of the 19th century. Initially it was called Filet or Vieux Paris in France, but after Christofle launched it as Chinon it became mainly known by this name. In England it is called Fiddle and Thread, in Germany it is called Augsburger Faden. The characteristic model has been successful for more than 150 years and is still made by various manufacturers.
