Antique French silver plated meat carving set
SKU: BD47251Charming silver-plated carving set consisting of a meat fork and a meat knife. The heavy, hollow handles are decorated on one side with a medallion in Empire style. Both parts are marked with a hallmark that I cannot trace (possibly a centipede) and with 1/0, a hallmark that guarantees the standard thickness of silver plating. The fork and the blade are made of stainless steel.
France, 19th century.
Dimensions: the fork is 27 cm long and the knife is 32 cm long.
Condition: in good condition, no dents or damage. Both handles have some light silver wear on the back. The knife is very sharp.
