WMF Art Deco chromed brass wine cooler
SKU: BW26526Wine cooler made of hammered white metal. The design is typical Art Deco. A beautiful worn look that gives the bucket character. Rare model, highly collectible item.
Manufacturer WMF, Geislingen, Germany 1910 - 1930.
Marked on the underside with the WMF ostrich mark in a rhombus enclosed in a fully striped arched. This mark was used between 1909 and 1930. The addition MPL stands for Messing Plaquiert, or chromed brass, an alloy classified as 'hotel silver'.
Dimensions: diameter 17.5 cm, height 19.5 cm.
Condition: the chromed, hammered exterior has oxidation spots, consistent with use and age. The inside of the cooler is largely worn.
