Antique ironstone pedestal fruit bowl, decorated with a hand-colored transfer print in pattern Shanghae, an old spelling of Shanghai. The color scheme is blue, peach, and terracotta on a light gray-white ground. The bowl stands on a foot and is also decorated on the outside with a floral pattern. Beautiful, openwork handles.
Manufactured by: Thomas Till and Son, Sytch Pottery, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, England. Between 1850 and 1861.
Dimensions: 29.5 cm x 27 cm, and 8 cm high.
In excellent, undamaged condition.
