A pair of jelly glasses, Victorian period, circa 1870.
Jelly glasses were originally used for serving gelatin-based desserts, but the style is now ideal for serving a glass of port or, for example, an amuse-bouche. The glasses stand on a hexagonally cut foot and have a bowl that is beveled with oval facets.
Pontil mark.
Material: lead glass.
Dimensions: 8.5 cm high.
